Linear Photoelectric Smoke Detector

If you use the Linear Wireless Security Panel to protect your home or business, you can install a battery-powered smoke alarm that will trigger your alarm system to sound in the event of smoke or fire. The Linear Photoelectric Smoke Detector has a built-in 85 dBA sounder for local alerts, but it will also send a digitally coded wireless signal to your security system for whole-house alerts. You can even set up your panel to call the fire department when it's triggered by this sensor.





How it Works
The Linear Photoelectric Smoke Detector is a battery-powered photoelectric smoke alarm with a built-in transmitter to signal your Linear Wireless Security Panel when smoke is detected, when its battery is low, and hourly to deliver status updates. When smoke is detected, the alarm sounds a loud local alarm. Twenty seconds after the local alarm sounds, the built-in transmitter sends a digitally coded wireless signal to your security panel. The wireless signal will be repeated every 20 seconds as long as smoke is still present.


Power and Security
The Linear Photoelectric Smoke Detector is powered by the two included 9-volt alkaline batteries, which will last approximately two years. The digital DXS code format features over a million possible codes.


Additional Options
If you connect the Linear Personal Emergency Reporting System to your security panel, the Door/Window Transmitter can use its auto-dialing feature to summon emergency personnel or call a cell phone when triggered.
