Home
security alarm monitoring is an essential duty. There is no point in
purchasing a high tech alarm system if you don't have the proper setup
in place to alert the authorities when the alarm goes off. It is crucial
that your hardware panel be able to communicate back to the monitoring
center.
There are three types of home security alarm monitoring systems: local
or remote or a combination of the two. Local alarms do not include human
monitoring but may include indoor and or sirens and lights to scare
off an amateur burglar quickly and alert neighbors or a passing police
car. This is less expensive and less reliable than having a remote system
in place.
With remote home security alarm monitoring high-end sensors connect
to security or police responders using a direct phone wire or fiber-optic
cable. The system not only includes the alarm sensors, but also the
communication wire itself and because of the high cost of this, these
direct connections are becoming less common in domestic settings and
are now mostly seen in emergency and government buildings. Check with
your phone company and security salesman to see if this is an option
for you.
