Barix Barionet_1

Monitor, control and interface your power modules, temperature sensors and other home automation devices to central management systems with Barix's Barionet™. With its easy installation, open interfaces and communication capabilities, the Barionet™ functions in home, commercial or industrial applications. This universal, network-enabled automation interface, monitoring appliance and visualization system uses universal 10/100Mbit Ethernet connectivity to be used on any network infrastructure that uses TCP/IP.



Different types of inputs and outputs allow the use of the Barionet™ in a wide range of interfacing applications: Two relays can be used to activate bells, door strikes, motors, blinds, or lights; two expansion ports offer connectivity to Dallas 1-Wire® devices such as temperature sensors and Barix extension modules. The Barionet™ can even be programmed in BASIC, allowing its use as a stand-alone intelligent controller with network capabilities.



The Barionet™ offers various digital, serial and analog interfaces, including 12 configurable I/Os, 2 relays (240V, 5A), Bus connections for additional I/O devices. The Barionet™ comes with standard software featuring fully documented interfaces that support a variety of different communication methods. In addition to TCP/IP, the Barionet supports integrated webserver/client, application protocols; UDP and TCP as well as higher-level protocols (CGI, XML SOAP) can be selected.

Connect a Barionet R6 (sold separately) to expand your Barionet's capabilities. The R6 is a Modbus-enabled relay unit for commercial control, power switching and automation applications. By connecting it to your Barionet via a RS-485 connector, you'll be able to use its six independent relays in a wide range of switching applications.
